<lj:music>Johnny Cash - Folsom Prison Blues</lj:music>

Well I was in denial for a whole semester, but now it actually feels like university. I have never had so many things to do and so many things to think about and plan for ever in my life before. Tonight is supposed to be Day of Fun though. and it shall.

Cheaton Cup on Saturday... pretty sure I'm going to die. haha Seriously, if this is my last entry ever it will probably be because I'm lying in a ditch saturated in alcohol somewhere. Should be a good time. Security in the quad all day makes me laugh. It better live up to our expectations lol, considering its been pounded into our head ever since the first day of frosh week.

So I now know what its like to be deaf in one ear. I have three pair of headphones and every single one of them has one ear broken. and its the headphones, not the computer, I'm positive. Its the most frustrating thing in the world. I can't listen to any Beatles song post-1966 because thats when they discovered the whole concept of stereo and found it so effing fascinating. i love listening to a song with only half the music... I'm going to buy some tomorrow I think though. I have the worst luck with electronics.

Sooo Johnny Cash was a cool guy.

Wildcats are Regular Season Champs!! woop woop!. I was very very happy. First round against Victoriaville starts Friday. On the road because the coliseum is gay. I'm kind of sad because I missed the majority of the best season in Wildcats' history and I'm going to miss half of playoffs, or all, if they choke. Which they won't, because I'd kill them. period. I want a "Rabid Fan" shirt but I'll bet any money all of the smalls will sell out by the time I get in town. I hope they realise that they sold so many of the white ones because they were only 2 dollars... not everyone has 10 bucks to spend on every member of their family.

This is shaping up to be the best year for concerts of my life. I've already seen Wintersleep and Sam Roberts. And we all know what is to come haha.

<lj:music>Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young - Southern Cross</lj:music>

So Erica came up on Friday to visit MOI. I was so proud of her for driving from Halifax here and not even getting lost. Well, she may not have known where she was, but she was actually in the right place. We had Chicken fingers for supper, which made my life soooo awesome. We drank in Emily's room with all the girls that night. There were a bunch of random Truro high school kids in Greg and Tom's room. They were actually pretty entertaining. We played Kings Cup and Spoons. aaaand the spoons became a recurring theme for the night... DRAW!!!!

We eventually took a parade of people over to Chelcy's brother Trent's house because he was having a party. I want that house, it reeks of awesomeness. A surprising number of people had good taste in music at that party, too. Erica was a little camera happy all night, making things even more entertaining. Random events of the night included a pileup onto Trent's bed, Ned breaking Erica's spoon and Erica stealing one of the house's spoons, not being able to find Chelcy, and Chelcy eventually showing up at the SUB with the random guy in a kilt.

Erica left Saturday afternoon after a good session of original Nintendo (which included a Mario time warp, which we figured out was because of Erica and I finding a time portal) The girls went to Joe's for supper, much better than my previous Joe experiences. We watched Joy Ride Saturday night, and then played some random game Amy had that ended up being the game of liiiiife. I loved it, lol. I'm pretty sure we then convinced ourselves that we were surrounded by ghosts...

Sunday has been a pretty low key day, but fun nonetheless. I haven't gotten any work done whatsoever, which I'm sure I'll regret later. but its been a pretty entertaining weekend. I could use a little more sleep though.

    <lj:music>Sam Roberts - Dead End</lj:music>

Thanks to the time warp that Erica and I found (more about our adventures in my next entry), lets take a journey back to Tuesday, March 7th.

On Tuesday, March 7th, Sam Roberts rocked our collective socks. I want to remember as much as possible so I will write it down. As soon as we got there we (me,Chelcy, Emily, Gil and Ed) managed to worm our way to the front row. I was the closest to centre :) because I heart him most, its true. The Novaks opened, they were pretty good. Once they were done their set, a loooot more people had gathered behind us. The barrier was a lot higher than normal, which is good, cause I didnt feel like my stomach was going to be squished into oblivion. I think it made it worse for the shorter people though lol But throughout the whole show I was completely squished, and almost a week later I still have bruises, but it was awesome. I kinda wanted to kill the girl who had her arm in between mine trying to shove me out of the way. But I won, so it doesn't matter.

Sam Roberts puts on an effing amazing show! He played almost all of my favourites. No Sleep was the second song of the night, and I obviously freaked out a lot. And the only people singing the french part were me and some guy two people down from me, so Sam Roberts made eye contact as we were both singing. It was magical. The Canadian Dream was really awesome too. He's so political lol. I love the guy. "Dead End" was a good time, thats an awesome song. He's a lot shorter / skinnier than I imagined. but I guess I like the skinny boys. Much love / hate to the "EVERY PART OF MEEEEE" guy.

The crowd was soooo into it. There were a suprising number of people who knew the words to the random songs like me. In the encore he sang an acoustic song that was beauuuutiful. He has a beautiful voice. I need to buy his new album. I liked all the songs he sang from it. He probably performed like an hour and a half, two hours, which is awesome. You could really tell he loves the intimate shows.

Yes I just devoted an entire entry to Sam Roberts, whats it to you.

    <lj:music>Sam Roberts - No Sleep</lj:music>

wow, It's been a year, and a hell of a lot has changed since then. I can't figure out who I was mad at. lol

Sooo, university is cool. Except for effing March and April. grrrr I actually feel like a university student now. Midterms + essays + course selection + still don't know what I effing want to major in + worrying about jobs + worrying about scholarships = fhauihfuefhuehwugfwah You know I'm swamped when I didn't even take a nap today. Shock! I know.

There is lots of good stuff to look forward to too though. Sam Roberts in SIX DAYS. Bryan Adams in a month, Cheaton Cup in a few weeks, Erica might be cominnnng. And lets not forget MEM CUPPPPPPP in May. Oh and I'm taking Sunday night off to watch the Oscars because I'm actually interested this year. So I can try to be optimistic, but it takes a lot of effort because its against my nature..

Paul McCartney is coming to the Maritimes to protest the seal hunt. I want to stalk him. And then kidnap him until he agrees to play in Moncton on my birthday. He will too.

Brad Marchand winning a fight makes me laugh.
The highlight of Study week was seeing Ted Nolan at the movie theatre. Also at the movies, I almost got trampled by half of the Fog Devils... skanks.

I've decided to take up curling.

Right at this moment I am wearing my prom dress. It's actully growing on me. At first I was all "meh" about it but I put it on and its so much fun. very me. people are probably going to think I'm a tool because no one will have anything like it. Me, Em, and Sara are totally going to be the three most original there! I think I figured out what was bothering me about it. The boob part goes too low, it looks all saggy but I figure if I can find someone talented enough to shorten the straps a little all should be good. I wish it looked as good on me as it does in the picture but it won't for obvious reasons.

Me and Lindsay went shopping for jewelery today. We've decided I'm going funky about it cause its a funky dress. I think my mother is pissed that I'm not being completely traditional/

Prom is a scam.

It looks like the dress is really light but it actually has soooo much material, I feel like the straps will break because its so heavy.

I can't fucking walk in my shoes!!!! I tried walking around my house today but i couldn't!! Somewhere between Walmart (I know, cheap eh) and my house they stopped fitting!!

I'm feeling slighty better about prom I guess considering I refused to even talk about it before.

I'm very angry at two people right now. I got so furious at the grad rehearsal today. I didn't do anything and I'm not a moron but I have no idea what's going on.

Me and Sara are going to try to stand with eachother during the grad song. She's actually the person who makes me cry the most too. There is something about her that my tears just completely flow lol.

ps I heart Amy

<lj:music>the beauty that is the FOO!!!!!!!</lj:music>

So I have the urge to write an actual journal entry. Shocking I know. But I've always liked the idea of a journal and typing is so much easier than handwriting. And I'm pretty sure there are only 3 people who really read this and know me and there's not much I can say that I would mind you guys knowing.

I went shopping with Edsall today. we're awesome at bargain shopping and I'm pretty sure we went to every music store twice. But she's not very good at being my will power. I mean who lets me spend $100. Obviously you're supposed to restrain me. I now have not enough money for prom. I mean there's hair, makeup, dinner, jewelery and grad party alcohol. and I'm sure I'm forgetting something. Lindsay's helping me out with that last one but I'm not sure what I'll do about the rest. I'd steal money from my brother but I'm pretty sure he's broke.

Anyway so what's so much more important than prom that I just had to buy? Well for one the Foo Fighters new album. It's actually amazing. 2 discs of beauty. Dave Grohl = God. I actually did restrain myself a bit today. I wanted to buy the special limited edition that was $42 but I didn't. Even though there was a dvd included and it was actually limited, the only place they were selling it was Future Shop and they only had like 5 left. I also bought an Incubus DVD that I'm very excited about. I bought another Beatles Tshirt that I'm sure no one else will have this time, and a necklace to go with my pretty blue skirt.
And a bunch of little stuff that added up.

Please don't make me go to prom. I really don't want to. Is it bad that I'm dreading my own prom?

Lindsay's coming over tomorrow to view The Dress and help me in the jewelery department. I hope she has ideas for hair too. I don't think she realizes this but it is now up to her to get me excited for prom. lol

People are continuing to be stupid and I don't want to talk to certain people. Is it bad that high school's over and we're graduating in like a week but I don't want to talk to people who are supposed to be close to me? Is it bad that I keep asking is it bad?

My room is insanely cluttered with crap. I cleaned tonight and wanted to shoot myself. I have so much paper shit. I threw out everything form all the stupid universities I'm not going to so that helped a little. There's still a big pile of paper I can't throw out that's sitting on my floor with nowhere to go. and the CDS!!! ITS NUTS!! they're all over the place. I think I found all the missing Cds and cases, that was scaring me for a while. But there were so many loose burnt cds and being the tool that I am I didn't label any of them so I just put them in random cases, I hope I never want to listen to one ever again because that would present a problem.

Did anyone ever notice that the funnest game in the world is when you have a DVD and you put it in its case only to find a different dvd that you stuck in that case out of laziness, then you must hunt down the case for that dvd and so on. I played that for like 5 minutes tonight. Its like a treasure hunt.

Time to play "What Steph Found Under Her Bed"!!! Here we go:
-Deodorant
-2 Nalgene Bottles
-1 Flip Flop
-1 water bottle
-1 Nerf Ball (wtf!!)
-1 Foam Football
-countless letters and crap from universities
-dozens of tests/notes
-nails/screws
-1 brush
-1 Bible (???)
-markers
-1 TV Guide (etrange...)
-socks (of course)
-2 erasers
-2 instruction manuals
-3 towels
-2 novels (one I haven't read)
-1 stuffed animal
-Beanie Baby Jeans
-1 magazine with Jarome Iginla on the cover *tear*
-and many many balls of dust

In conclusion, my life is boring.

    <lj:music>Metallica - Tuesday's Gone</lj:music>

Last night me and Mel wanted to do something, and in the words of of a very wise frenchie; in Moncton youo either go to the mall, or to the movies. And since we had both been working at the mall all day, we decided to go to the movies. So we randmoly went and saw "Hostage", not really knowing what it is becuase Mel is a wimp and didn't want to see that horror movie about the house (can't remember what its called). Even more randomly, Erica was there with Mike so we sat with them. Anyway, Hostage was actuyally really good.... it was creepy the whole way through becuase of this one guy in the moovie and by the end I actually wanted to cry because it was so scary. It started reminding me of The Ring in its scariness. It was way scarier than the Ring 2 (not too difficult)

Right now I'm wasting time cause my father is a moron. I have to practise driving and yesterday he made a big deal that he wanted to go at noon. I told him I had a lot to do today so we'd have to make it quick. Guess what? Its almost 1:30 and he's not here. I could be doing much more productive stuff right now but I have to be ready on his schedule.

Amy is stressing me out with all this talk of registering for courses for next year. Thats a step I'm not ready to take yet. lol

I have a staff meeting today... There is so much I'd like to say to some people but I can't. They just don't get it. My bosses are going to say some stuff and we'll have to bite our tongues and not say anything back.

Emily better be proud of me for actually writing a real journal... something I did not plan on doing.
